Product Details

Sister’s Run is an independently owned and operated winery with a fierce commitment to make the best wines from family vineyards. The label pays reference to talented young winemaker Elena Brooks who wears steel cap boots in the day but carries a pair of high heels in the back of the ute, just in case of emergencies.

Lovely aromas of red berries mingle delightfully with spice and black pepper notes. The palate is dry, medium-full bodied and amply rewards the promise of the nose. Suggestions of spice, plus red and black fruit, with a crisp acidity and appropriate tannins keeping everything balanced through the end of the long and tangy finish.

I was looking at a well known Shiraz when a nice young lady in store offered some help. I didn’t want to spend $25 on a bottle of Shiraz that I was looking at and she pointed out the Sister Run at almost half the price - so I took a bottle and loved it! A little peppery, some black fruits and plum. Was beautiful. Went back for a box!

Smooth and full-bodied, this bold Aussie Shiraz is a little peppery with some berry flavours- perfect for the winter weather.

One of the better Shiraz's that you will find under $15! A true McLaren Vale shiraz, with a full body, lots of dark berries, a hint of spice and tobacco, and a smooth, lasting finish.

Excellent wine for the price, medium bodied fruit forward shiraz - red and black fruits, a little oak, all in all a very balanced wine.

As they say " if it comes from Mclaren Vale, then is must be good". This wine is no exception. Full bodied, berry flavours with peppery overtones. Excellent value when on special. Expensive bottling and classy label. I will keep buying this wine for its excellent qualities.

I have no idea who gave this wine a medal. It's very sharp and tasted more like a $6.00 bottle. It will be cellared alright, couldnt drink it now.

I first tried this wine recently, it is served on V Australia (after a welcome upgrade to 'Upperclass') - and couldn't believe how good it tasted - I though maybe I was influenced by my good fortune sitting in a comfy seat and the 'collegiate air' at altitude. So returning home purchasaed some from you and can confirm it tasted just as good on the ground, maybe even better and the price seems so low for the wine. Amazing stuff.
