Product Details

The Davey estate vineyard was planted in the early 1990's by Kym & John Davey on land farmed by their Grandfather since 1950's. The Davey family members aren't just great winemakers; they are aficionados of fine food and wine.

Blackberry and strawberry primary aromas are highlighted with notes of chocolate and a twist of white pepper. The cassis fruit of the medium – full palate is focused into the long finish by satiny tannins and subtle roasted cashew-like oak.

a strange shiraz to be sure. from a well established vineyard i expect something a lot more punchy. what i got was a somewhat soft shiraz. thats not to say that the nose wasn't great and the mouthfeel was good, just not what i typically look for in a shiraz. great as a gift for people who like there wines to be a bit softer and fruitier.
