Wheat. Wheat beer is brewed with a large proportion of wheat relative to the amount of malted barley. It has a smooth creamy flavour, with a pale colour and cloudiness.

Wheat beer is highly carbonated and quite dry in the finish. With a hazy appearance, the most well known varieties include the Belgian (Whitbier) and German (Hefeweizen), with the dark wheat beer (Dunkelweizen) using darker malts.
