Product Details

The story goes that twin 'beerded' brothers, Thomas and Charles, set out to find the great inland sea of Australia, Lake Eyre. Ensuring they stowed plenty of Pale Ale for their journey into the scorching centre, they soon had no choice but to stay put and let the water find them. This Pale Ale is the lead beer of the Steamrail range, picking up a Bronze medal at the 2016 Royal Adelaide Beer Awards & Silver Medal at Australian International Beers Awards 2018.

A Pale Ale brewed with wheat and crystal malt. It has two additions of the citrus and floral cascade hop in the brewhouse. It is then dry hopped in the fermenter with the intensely flavour-filled Australian Galaxy Hop. IBU: 25

pours with a pale gold and surprising large head that retains its shape. citrus and hops on the nose. the down side is that this isnt a really hoppy pale. this is marketed towards the new comers that couldn't handle a much hoppier pale. not saying its bad just needs some extra kick to make it better.

A very nice and easy-to-drink pale ale. Can sometimes score it for $40 a case so terrific value.

This is a champion pale ale. Great for those people just venturing into the craft realm from mainstream lagers. Excellent value and easy drinking. Grab a slab for the Footy Finals

Wasn't sure what to think at first, nevertheless, the flavours grew on me and made a very enjoyable footy game. For the price and taste, i would recommend it!

Lots of pretenders out there, but not Steamrail. With a crisp finish and a slight citrus after taste , this beer will compete with any Pale Ale out there. My new beer of choice, until i find something better :)

A great Aussie beer that has a crisp and refreshing flavour with hints of citrus. Great value for money and rivals any other pale ale on the market

Beer drinker from old found this beer by accident and really enjoyed it. Fresh with a nice after taste and flavour not a mouth wash and the 4th is as nice as the first, surprising

As a home brewer for the past 5 years, and a Victorian beer-drinker for the past 50 years, I give this beer an absolute #1 for flavour! It certainly is nothing like any Australian beer, though.
