The Devils Corner Pinot Grigio is fragrant and enticing with highlights of pears and tropical fruit, against an attractive herbal backdrop. The palate is showing excellent weight and intensity and loaded with the flavour of ripe, yellow pears and apple alongside some spice and savoury notes. The finish is crisp and clean and with enough acidity to leave the mouth watering for more. Drink while young and fresh. 'This Tasmanian white with a striking label and contents to match shows pear, tropical fruit and a touch of spice on the nose and palate, with a crisp finish. It's tasty by itself but also would go with antipasto or creamy seafood-based pastas. Rating: 90' - Courier Mail, Brisbane, 25 Jan 2013, by Mike Frost. 'Pinot noir's white-grey mutant, pinot grigio (or gris) delivers its best flavour when it's grown in a cool climate such as Tasmania's. Devil's Corner's version captures the variety's elusive pear-like flavour on a richly textured palate, cut with pleasantly tart tannins and acids – the latter at a higher level than we generally see in the variety. This is a positive feature as means greater freshness and suitability with food.' - Canberra Times, 27 Feb 2013, Chris Shanahan.
